Helpful Hints for your Weaving Class at the Alpaca Farm

Great Group of Ladies Showing off their first weaving project.

This is an adventure unlike any other

A few hints to give you the best experience during your weaving class.

Beautiful hands holding a shuttle full of yarn.

Jewelry

You will be using your hands! It may be easier to leave bracelets and rings at home.

Are dogs allowed?

We love animals, but we ask that you keep your pets at home. The alpacas and chickens are shy around dogs and we have a goat that is known to headbutt dogs. Tank, our official alpaca farm greeter, doesn't like to compete for love and attention.

You can bring Yarn, Fabric, ribbons, feathers and fiber

I have a large selection of yarns, fibers and textures for your weaving class, but you are also welcome to bring your own. Any yarns work, fabric can be torn into strips, rovings and locks are a great addition.

If the weather doesn't cooperate

If you have booked a weaving class and the weather  doesn't cooperate you can rebook or request a refund. Weaving in Utah is sometimes an adventure in weather!

Is there an age requirement

We love young visitors...however, our weaving classes are best suited for adults. We require participants to be at least 11 years of age. Our looms require weavers to be at least 4'9" tall in order to reach the pedals.
